He was associate editor and later editor in chief of the Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering, associate editor of the “Revista Controle & Automação” of SBA, member of the presidency of the ABCM and member of the presidency of the SBA
- Author of the book «Controle Programavel», ed. Edgard Blucher, and co-author of the books «Modelling and Analysis of Hybrid Supervisory Systems», ed. Springer, and «Fault Tolerance in Manufacturing: Applying Petri Nets», ed. VDM-Verlag. Currently he works in the area of Mechatronics Engineering, with emphasis in system automation and has performed research and developments in discrete event systems, manufacturing systems, industrial automation, robot programming and control systems
